I enjoy making others smile through my yarn manipulation skills. My passion is to delight others by making winsome and practical goods you’ll want to show off to others and use everyday.

I’ve been crocheting and knitting since 2006. I was about 12 when my mom taught me how to crochet successfully. Teaching me to knit, on the other hand, didn’t go as well – my mom’s knitting lessons weren’t clicking for me, so she bought me a knitting book which I used to teach myself. Going forward, any pattern that caught my eye was my next challenge. I learned much through trial and error, reading books, and watching videos.

I first heard about Etsy through a coworker. I was working on a headband pattern during my break at work when she asked if I could make her a headband for her daughter. Afterwards, she encouraged me to sell my projects on Etsy, but it felt overwhelming to start a business. In 2021, I finally decided to take the plunge, especially since I had more time to work on my business. And in 2023, I decided to open my own storefront right here at knittly.store!

The projects I usually focus on are “feel-good” items and/or functional items. I’m drawn to working on projects that make me smile, enhance my outfit, add a pleasant touch to my living space, or help with making my life easier. My favorite patterns to work on are amigurumi, hats, headbands, and hanging decorations. I’m currently experimenting with sweater patterns!

Additionally, I accept commission requests and modifications to current listings. If there’s something that you would like me to make or change, please reach out for a price estimate. Pictures and/or patterns are helpful!
